What is the purpose of the 'manager' standard field on the MDA user object? How does it relate to manager on the SFDC user object?

May your day continue to be filled with awesome

Hi - I'd like to walk through how to allow CSMs to update Sentiment Score within a timeline entry.

I'm working on a process for pre-filtering failed participants due to being part of the bounce list. I'm looking at the AO Emails and AO Participants objects and some of the failed participants due to bounce are not in those lists. Wondering where else we can find bouncing participant data for this or if I should consider a different strategy.

Hi Kyle - The Manager ID is designed to allow looking up users to manager groups. It relates to the manager on the SFDC user object only if you configure it to do so. Hopefully this article helps more: https://support.gainsight.com/Data_Management/Gainsight_Standard_Objects/Gainsight_User_Object

Hi Amber - I'm happy to go through this in more detail during next week's office hours, but to get you started:

You could have (or maybe you already do have) a picklist within a timeline activity configuration that allows users to assign a sentiment to an activity (e.g. red, yellow, or green). Then you could create a rule that looks at the latest timeline entry and updates the scorecard measure accordingly based on what that timeline entry's value is.
