As a new admin (Salesforce version):

  1. What are some best practices & recommendations for monitoring Gainsight License/User adoption. Would like to review the ‘Weekly Usage Highlights’ email that is sent.
  2. Any recommendations around Gainsight release strategy (feature planning, sandbox usage & testing, communication, etc)

I am not able to join until the second half, but have a few questions related to surveys, reports, and dashboard creation:

  1. Reports for a scheduled survey program show “sent” dates prior to the scheduled send for a few participants. Could this be from my clicking on the survey link in the preview email prior to scheduling the program? 
  2. Added a participant to a program last night - it still shows as “Review” status. What do I do to kick that off? 
  3. Is it a problem if I repurposed the Escalation email to send a second reminder with different content to recipients instead of an escalation to CSMs? Worked when I tested it, but is it an issue for the system or reporting?
  4. What is Horizon Analytics? Seeing this is some of the documentation and unclear if we have it. 
  5. I’m trying to recreate a dashboard I used to make outside of gainsight...I’m reading documentation this morning but may still have questions this afternoon about displaying calculated information (like sums of people surveyed by certain criteria and percentages responded).

Have a question on the Employees field on the Company Object, this is a out-of-the box field,  I am trying to understand how is that populated.

Hello @AlexAtAD -- wanted to link you to the event post for today’s (already given) session on the coming Horizon Analytics report engine that will replace current reports & dashboards.

 

I’ll make sure that you get a link to the recorded session when we post it after answering questions from the chat that were left over at the end of the session, etc., but the post includes a link to the earlier top-level demo of Horizons Analytics that will give you a good overview, and then the recording of today’s session, when available, will really give you the deep dive into what it means for Admins.
