Hi Scott -- I have some questions about the Connectors 2.0 Zendesk Case job. In particular, I’m looking to get some guidance on the following:

  1. After an initial run of the Cases job, I see it is doing our org mappings automatically. However, the job brought in tickets (cases) that do not have an equivalent mapping to an account in Gainsight, resulting in unmapped organizations in our instance. How do I ensure we are not bringing in tickets that do not have an associated account record in Gainsight, beyond filtering the fetch of tickets?
  2. Now that I do have some unmapped organizations, how do I go about getting those unmapped organizations removed from our instance, as there is no need for them to be there?

I am trying to run a rule that would populate fields with the most recent update/value.

Hey Scott - I have a question related to timeline updates to manual scorecard measures.

I have a rule that I have a case expression in. The then part of the case is custom = 0; however, after running the rule, where the case parameters are true the custom output isn't populated.

Hi Scott. I need some assistance reverse engineering a rule that loaded some data to the Company Object. It seems to have not been migrated when we switched to NXT in January. The rule upserted 3 different fields with month names. These fields are referenced for a JO Program Query, but since the rule hasn’t been active for a few months, the fields haven’t been upserted on the Company Object, and the JO Program Query hasn’t been functioning properly.

I have an outline of how the rule is supposed to work, but I would like some guidance to make sure there isn’t an easier way to complete this task.

Thanks!

Aha -- I found what I was remembering @john.pawlowski  -- and although it’s for creating Formula Fields on your Company object in Data Management rather than transforming Rules, I think it will work for you!

https://support.gainsight.com/Gainsight_NXT/02Data_Management/Managing_Data_in_Gainsight/Advanced_Operations_in_Gainsight_Data_Management#Create_Calculated_Fields_on_Gainsight_Objects

See my screenshots below for a couple of the formulas that will display what you want based on just filling in a single date value in a field that becomes the source for the other fields.

Going to play with it for a minute to see if it does what I’m thinking . . . will report back shortly.

Works like a charm @john.pawlowski !

See my screenshot below.  Load a single date field from the rule.

All other Month Name fields should be formula fields that just show the Month you are looking for.

My screenshot is of a “five months ahead” month name that is adding 5 months to the loaded date field, and then showing the name of the month, all in a single formula.

Also, I tested for Jan 31 to make sure it wouldn’t look for a June 31 and freak out, but no, it shows June as the month that’s 5 months ahead!
