Salesforce Real Time Sync: What are some of the gotchas in setting it up? I had a false start with it last week (no filtering on Accounts in Connector...whoops) and it created 884K Accounts when the intent was merely to update certain fields from the Account that are inconsistent via the Rules Engine currently. Real time sync is viewed as the solution!...would the fields we want updated in real time need to be removed from the Rule fetch, merge, and derived mapping that are currently used to populate them?

 

Multi-Currency: Enabled, configured with current exchange rates to US Dollar...we have reps that have Accounts/Companies in different currencies based on location (USD, GBP, Euro)...if I have reps set their default currency in their profile will that change all monetary fields to that specific currency? Can the currency fields be dynamic based on Account/Company locale?

We have a specific user that is not seeing complete data on a report from the Person object in Gainsight. Need help understanding why, user’s permissions looks fine and she is an active user.

Long time no talk!

I’m working on a revamp of C360 configuration, part of which is a restructuring of the Summary tab. I’ve created some bar & line chart reports that highlight data trends (ARR Trends, Utilization Trends, etc.) and was hoping to add them to the C360 Summary tab as widgets. My reports are not appearing as an option in the Widgets section in the C360 configuration page, however. I looked into it on the knowledgebase and it looks like only the KPI Widget visualization is compatible. I wanted to confirm that with you, and perhaps hear if you have other recommendations.

Hello Scott - I also would like to ask some questions about the Salesforce Real Time Sync and the setup of the Salesforce connector in general:

  • Can you sync over Salesforce Activity Data to the Gainsight Timeline?
  • Can Gainsight Timeline entries be synced back to Salesforce?
  • Is there a best practice way to turn on the Salesforce connector incrementally to be sure you don’t get out of sync with data that is currently being brought into Gainsight via a rule pulling from a daily .csv file in the S3 bucket?
