Hello,

I can use some assistance with an S3 3 export scenario: I am running a rule to export MDA data to S3 however, the export perpetually fails with message below:

<date/timestamp> MDARule Execution failed: Data processing job failed while performing tasks.

Key Details:

MDA has approximately 96,385,000 records

  • Filename=<custom filename>.csv file without a date stamp
  • Show=All Columns
  • Filters=None
  • Account Lookup=Account ID→ SFDC ID
  • Export to S3=Custom bucket (credentials have passed validation)
  • Encryption=None
  • Generate File (see below)
  1. Field Separator=Comma
  2. Text Qualifier=Double Quote
  3. Escape Character=Backslash

Rule was built to specifications in article:

https://support.gainsight.com/SFDC_Edition/Rules_Engine/Admin_Guides/Export_to_S3_from_Bionic_Rules

I’ve tried changing the configuration in a few ways including:

  • Filtering data to last 2 years
  • Using Account ID as the lookup option
  • Selecting a different custom bucket
  • Running the rule at different times over different days

Is there a better way to export data from an MDA database?

Hi @spencer_engel

I’m working on a snap shot of the scorecard to the MDA for a specific date. So far loaded ob completed date and 1 measure 45-60 Onboarding Satisfaction Score - do I need to load separate actions for each measure (because I’m filtering for the measure type on each action)? Or is there a better way to do this? Would be great if I can get some guidance before office hours, otherwise see you there!
