Hi team. I wanted to see if there was a way to filter out test accounts from the pre-defined reports that get delivered by emails. Apparently not. So then I created some reports where I filtered out these accounts, but, apparently, there is no way for me to share these reports with other users, is that correct? Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi Neil,
You can definitely share your saved, custom reports with others. The “Share” icon is light grey and you may not have noticed it. See screenshot example below:
If you do this with your reports, then the selected users (or ALL) will see these on the main Analytics screen like the following:
If these users would like to have them delivered to their email on a regular basis, then they will need to “Save” their own version, which will then show up under the “My Reports” section above as well as be available to select under their “My Profile” → “Email reports” screen as follows:
I hope this helps!
Feel free to email me directly if you need faster answer! :)
Take care,

Hey
Absolutely! You can export to a CSV file format to then use with your favorite spreadsheet program and/or share with other teams (i.e.Marketing). See below:
Greetings
Regarding the sharing of a Custom Report discussed above, I have a quick follow-up question.
If I create a report and share it with a Teammate, and then they
...“Save” their own version…
as you instructed above,
and then I make a change to my original Custom Report,
Will my Teammate’s Custom Report reflex the change I made to the original report?
Or will my Teammate have to delete their version of the shared report and then save a new version of it?
Thank you in advance for your answer.
John
Hi
If you share a Report, other users can view it and make changes to it. However, they can only use the “Save As” option to create a new Report with their changes that they will own. Your original Report can only be changed and resaved by you as you are the owner.
FYI - sharing Reports works differently that sharing Dashboards, as you can assign Edit permissions to your Dashboards to allow users to actually change the design/config.
Hello
I may not have expressed my question as well as I should have.
I’m trying to understand the nature of sharing reports that can be auto-run and auto-emailed.
Let’s start with which reports can be auto-run and auto-emailed.
If I understand your documentation, the following are the types of reports that can be auto-run and auto-emailed:
1) Audience Explorer reports,
2) Accounts Explorer reports,
3) Retention reports,
4) Adoption reports,
5) Feedback reports, and
6) Path Analyzer reports.
Is this correct?
Are these the only reports that can be auto-run and auto-emailed?
The only reports that can be run and the summaries emailed to yourself daily/weekly are...
Built-in reports (cannot be customized)
- New Lead Report
- User Signup Report
- Adoption Report
Custom Reports:
- Audience Explorer Bookmarks
- Accounts Explorer Bookmarks
- Feature Adoption Reports
Here is a screenshot from my user profile in PX
You cannot automatically send these saved reports to others currently, but I have seen some of those requests posted as Ideas on Community for our PX Product team to consider. However, you can send the URL from your PX application window to users through your email, which will then open in the PX application as long as they have access to them.
My apologies to anyone who is reading this thread.
I saw the following text in the Custom Filters section.
Paraphrasing now, since the text below says that applying filters to the Retention, Adoption, Feedback, and Path Analyzer reports makes them “customized”, I mistakenly took that to mean that these reports would then become “Custom Reports”.
My mistake. I read too much into the explanation below.
