When someone posts a new question on an existing thread, we sometimes move it to a new topic to give it more visibility, make it easier to track and manage, etc. When I do that, the new topic is always created as a Conversation and there is no option to make it a Question. I have to find the new topic and convert it to a question, which is an extra step I wish could be avoided. Am I missing something?

Why can't I select conversation type when moving a post?
+7sounds like a bug or an limitation in the feature set. (Though I very rarely use that feature.)
I recommend creating a support ticket. They can validate whether it’s a bug and route towards getting it fixed.
Or they might tell you to post an idea.
