There are pre-set moderator tags in Insided, but currently you cannot delete them from Control. Since our team is setting up a Zap between our Insided instance and Intercom, we need to have only one moderator tag so we needed to reach out to Insided’s support team and wait for them to delete the moderator tags manually for us before we can set up the Zap successfully. Having greater ability to control/manage/delete moderator tags would greatly improve our experience. Thank you!

So basically tag management for moderator tags is what you want here? Makes sense.

Hi @dodwyer,

I’m definitely interested in this as well. However, how did you set up pre-loaded moderator tags? I only have it for public tags.

TIA

Ilan

@Ilan B Hi! I actually am unsure. Insided’s engineering team helped us perform a migration from Slack into Insided, but I don’t think that would have impacted the pre-loaded tags. It looks like the pre-loaded tags was default content from Insided’s team.

@omika.mali,
Can you help us set this up with our account please?
TIA

Hi @dodwyer - thanks for sharing this feedback. Can you clarify for me how having these tags (not attached to any topics) impacted the Zap you were setting up between inSided and Intercom?

My understanding of how an integration like that would work is that these moderator tags wouldn’t have really have impacted the integration. From what I can see, the main reason to delete moderator tags would be more for ‘cleanup’ purposes.

Let me know if my questions aren’t clear at all - curious to learn more from you :).

@daniel.boon Hi Daniel! We investigated our Zap further, and we found that we actually were able to specify which tag we wanted to trigger the Zap workflow, so we were able to set it up without the other tags being deleted. That being said, for general management/cleanup purposes, having greater control over moderator tags (ie, ones that we don’t want folks to use being deleted) would be helpful as you shared.

Upvoting this! We have a LOT of outdated moderator tags that were imported with a data migration we did when implementing inSided, and it’s really clogging up our organization and causing issues with duplicate/similar tags. This seems like a low-hanging fruit/easy win potential here.
