I wish dropdown dependencies had the option to update all fields using that dropdown such that the dependency is active when the dropdown dependency is created.
Just created a dependency and it was a very painful admin experience.
- Create the dependency from Dropdown Dependencies screen
- Find fields using this dropdown in Data Management and update the dependency to be used on the field itself
- Go to each C360 using this field and remove the field
- Go to each C360 using this field and re-add the field.
This should be a cleaner, more straightforward admin experience. If there was a checkbox in Step 1 above that said “Apply to all existing fields using this picklist?” then step 2 could be automated and prevent the need for step 3 and 4 to save the configuration changes. It’s WILD to me that 3 + 4 need to happen, and that Steps 1 & 2 don’t automatically update existing C360s to work with the new dependencies.
