Just entered to the rule to check out the logic and refreshed the preview. Never saved anything and yet the last modified date was updated…
This is very misleading as it makes impossible to discern when something was actually modified or not.
It should be like opening and reading a document anywhere (local, Google Drive)... If I didn't change anything I expect the modified date to be the same as before I opened the document.
Posting this idea for rules engine as I tested what happened with an advanced program by previewing an email template and the modified date was honored. Also followed the same steps in data designer (going to the filter tab in a dataset, previewing, refreshing the preview) and the modified date was honored too 🤷♀️
