Option to select Task Display Order at Playbook level

We would like additional flexibility to set the Task Display Order at the Playbook level.  Some CTAs we want to have the tasks display in Due Date order, where the individual tasks are more strict when it comes to timing vs. others where the timing order is less restrictive (i.e. 4 tasks to be completed within 60 days, timing at discretion of CSM) we would want to display in Playbook order.

Hi Jeff,

We do have the ability to display Tasks based on either the display order or the due dates. Are you suggesting that this be on a per CTA or a per CTA type basis?

On a per Playbook basis.  Currently the "Task Display Order" under Administration, Cockpit Configuration lets you choose one of two options:  Playbook Order or Due Date.  So either ALL CTAs will follow the order of the tasks in the Playbook OR ALL CTAs will follow Due Date order.  But sometimes there are cases where you want Tasks to display in order they are depicted on the Playbook whereas others that are more strict as far as timing you would want to display in Due Date order.  

So instead of applying ONE method to all CTAs, would like to have a field on the Playbook itself that will determine the Task Display Order when a CTA is triggered using that Playbook.

Manu, I wonder if we can revisit this discussion? Are there any plans to create some additional options for more sophisticated sorting of Tasks? I have another customer who just brought this up. Perhaps a primary and secondary sorting?

When Playbooks Tasks with no due date are added to a CTA, it starts to get more confusing to the end users as far as what order to do the Tasks in. Do Playbooks with no Task Due Dates always appear in the order in which they are listed in the Playbook?  Then if manual Tasks are added, they appear below those that have no Due Date?

As use cases for CTAs and Success Plans become more complex, I'm hoping this idea can be revisited? Any chance this is on the roadmap?

We are currently working on redesigning our admin experience. This is something we can consider after our redesign.

I will add this to our roadmap and keep this thread updated when it gets prioritized.
