Groups bring in targeted growth waves within the community 🏄🏼‍♂️

All actionable KPIs welcome:

  • Growth in membership within a time range: Numbers at a min, trend lines even better
  • Growth in points: a common e.g. if I am to launch a Top-Member contest for a daterange
  • Trending content
  • Other Gamification usecases like categories

And it does not all have to be exclusively available in the backend console… The leaderboard available on the UI.

I’m surprised this isn’t already something we can do in analytics. The only information we can see is in the Content dashboard if we filter by group, but it leaves out so much information about the user.

This is a great idea

Sharing use cases prompted by @Leo from InSided Support ‘s suggestion

  • Feedback groups: For product focused communities, feedback groups can be set up to gather feedback from anything ranging from betas to advisory groups. The moderators and admins of the group should be able to see who is in the group and what they are doing in the group.
  • Event groups: Groups set up for the purpose of pre and post event networking. The moderators and admins of the group could utilize the information to run contests or campaigns centered around the event and accompanying group.
  • Ambassador Groups: Several companies have ambassador or MVP or champion groups. For the management of those programs, the admin and moderator should be able to see group analytics.
  • Education: Groups set up around a cohort or course. Several companies have their own certifications or training programs. Hosting a study group or cohort on inSided as a group would require moderation and analytics specific to this group.

Having a feature like Groups on inSided without reporting is like stumbling onto a coconut on the beach when you’re hungry. It’s nice… but you can’t eat the coconut and get to the sustenance you need without the proper tools to crack it.

Empower Customer Success and Community Teams by showing them the value that their Groups are bringing to the community and company.
