Hi
Can you give us admins the capability to customize the welcome email?
Right now, this is what they get:

Leaving aside some formatting issues like the full stop in the first paragraph and the unnecessary line break before the links, it would be nice if we can add a customized message/template.

Use case:
Depending on the user role, we have different documentation/recording/trainings to direct them to. We can follow up with an email afterwards, but is a good case to leverage email templates internally and point them to the appropriate resources out of the gate.

In my mind this looks like this:
Click on send welcome email → Pop up → Would you like to add a customized message? Yes/No.
   If No: Current process
If Yes: Blank rich text screen to type + the ability to select from templates (similar to applying a template via Gainsight Assist). And the OOTB email is sent as an attached image.

Fantastic idea, @romihache! Tagging @kstim and @kim_stone for vis, this could be hugely helpful.

Taking things one step further, it’d be fantastic to be able to have one email with variants as needed for the different roles, so depending on the user’s role, they would receive the appropriate variant with a welcome message more relevant to their role and responsibilities.

Love the way you think @dayn.johnson 😊

Great idea! I think in general there is a need to allow admins to have some level of customizability with system emails that Gainsight sends to users, like the welcome email mentioned here, but also for other system emails like when CTAs and Success Plan engagements are assigned to users.

Here’s a related post:

We do this today.

Since we use SSO we never send the “Welcome Email”, it’s not a requirement for adding a user on, and so we have a JO built out that list out our user guides. All it does it looks for created users = yesterday.

But, if you don’t use SSO I can see how this enhancement is needed.

Fantastic idea! We’ve got a total overhaul of our JOs on the docket over the course of the migration to dynamic JO (once a few more kinks are worked out), and this seems like a fantastic program to include, especially with the new conditional evaluate steps that would allow for a complete internal onboarding program depending on a user’s role.
