Our old platform had a pretty cool feature that I miss: we could @mention articles and it was CRAZY helpful.  Often I respond to member questions with a resource or thread that is in the community.  Being able to @ostart typing the topic name] was such a time saver over opening a new window, finding the topic, copy pasting the hyperlink. Would love to see that same functionality in inSided!

@BrigidColver  I believe you sort of can @mention articles/topics, if you copy and paste the url it will appear like this:

or for an article:

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but hope this is helpful.

@mstone Nice idea, thanks for sharing! You explained it very well. I also like it from a UX point of view.

I will put this idea to open and let it collect more votes and feedback. :)

The @mention service has diversified so much since Twitter introduced it way back in the 2000s… Here’s how tools are utilizing it (screenshots for monday.com)

People and groups of people Search results
Content and categories

where the @ is actually a call to be able to search and refer to, in-situ specific records (people, threads, groups, categories… etc).

Strongly with you @BrigidColver . We could start with refining what we already have, being able to simply @mention a person by their names (without having their username written down on my notepad).

Interesting convo here @Sebastian
