Hi,

One of our customers suggested that it would be better if the activity type could be shown anywhere in the activity like somewhere on the top or as a field in the details area rather than identifying it by icon.

Please share your thoughts.

Hi,

The icons can still remain and used for identification of activity type. Additionally, it should be configurable to add the activity type on top of the timeline entry name is list view or/and configurable to add activity type in the detailed view in form of a field.

@sarthaksubudhi Are similar icons the reason why they are not helping in identifying activity type?

@nitisha_rathi  @meenal_shukla Users can’t always remember which icon is for which activity type even if there is a distinct icon assigned to each activity type. However, if the activity type is clearly mentioned somewhere in the activity (in expandable form in details or collapsed form on top), it would be easy to identify by the users.

Many of the users in our instance (Riverbed Technologies) have asked for this enhancement.

I think it is a fair ask and as a user of the Timeline, something that I have also considered as a good enhancement, @nitisha_rathi

@nitisha_rathi  Is this enhancement in the pipeline? And what would be the timeline?

I have added it to the roadmap. ETA to be decided.
