+8Basically what the title says. From what I can see so far, there doesn’t appear to be a way to convert an existing design into a template.
It would be great if there was a way to do that, so that you wouldn’t need to rebuild existing designs as templates, or if you decided you want a design to be a template later on.
+14This would be extremely handy, and really make adding design templates a lot easier.
Just in case this is still open,
The functionality should be available since the feature release. Both the options are present - to save a design template from an existing design or to update a design template from an existing design.

Had no idea that was there and that’s what it did - maybe that tells us something?
