Rather than having to invite someone to a group that is closed, I’d love to be able to grant access to a group based on their role or custom role in the community similar to how it works with categories and manage the visibility, their ability to create topics, and create comments.
Allow groups to have permissions for access
I second this! I’d like to be able to assign a role to a user then allow them access to a hidden or private group without approval step required! Example, I have a hidden group for employees, which all have a custom role, I would like to be able to make the group visible and no approval for a join request,
