Best answers are the ultimate behaviour to encourage and reward within the community as most people will easily ask questions, but less wilfully spend time trying to answer someone else’s problem.

Ranks and Badges can incentivise this but I find the email that notifies the author of an answer that it was marked as the best is incredibly dull and unrewarding, almost seems like an error, since it is the same email as anyone subscribed to the question:

Please note that I am not highlighting the design change but the message change when addressed to the author of the best answer, in order to reward the behaviour.
