Avoid Making "Recipient Email Address" a Required Field to Map if Not Needed in Program

In Journey Orchestrator, when the program is structured exactly like below with just these 3 steps, is it possible to make the “Recipient Email Address” field not required since it’s not used in the Call API step? It’s not the biggest deal in the world - I was able to easily create a dummy Recipient Email Address to map in the participant sources section - but would be nice to skip this step if it’s not required in the rest of the program.
