Thanks for sharing this idea @Ilan B → one question: if you had access to this on the dashboard (‘native analytics page’), what would the need for an export be? Would a screenshot of the dashboard not be enough to share the data? Curious how you envision this. Also, I assume by trending you mean based on the number of votes, right
?
Hi @daniel.boon,
In an ideal situation, I’d love to be able to manipulate and look at the analytics in-product, just like the other analytics. Then, if I wanted to do my own further analysis, I’d then have the ability to export the raw data. (An experience similar to Google Analytics).
However, I understand that there are limitations, so if it were only in the platform then I could make do with just a screenshot to share the data. On the other hand, I’d also be ok with just getting access to the raw data, so that I could do the data analysis myself.
Yes. By trending I mean votes.
eg. We have an old idea from say 6 months ago with 100 upvotes. No new votes in past 3 months. We know that its a big ask that we are never going to do, or is in the works, but a long time coming etc, or the drive for this feature is no longer relevant.
Now we also have a vote which has received 25 new votes each month in the past 3 months.
In the current methodology, this older idea, even though noone has voted for it in the past 3 months, is still our “most popular” idea, but this newer, trending idea will only become more relevant once it takes over, and it becomes more of a customer complaint, rather than a suggestion.
Hope this adds some colour to the request.
Thanks a lot @Ilan B, very helpful detail and adds some colour to the request indeed! :)
