it’d be nice to have a button that can sit below a Quick Links widget, similar to what’s possible with the Featured Topics widget (preferred: customizable) and Events Calendar widget (hardcoded / pre-set)

Hi @DannyPancratz thanks for this idea. I am curious what button would you see yourself having. I am wondering because quick links are already cards that are used to link to specific URLs. How would that button be different?

Here’s the use case that inspired the idea:

I’m using quicklinks to link to our 4 main category forums (the other catgory widgets don’t work, bc the structure and architecture is a bit unique + ideation is one of the “forums” I’m calling out).

I was thinking a button CTA to start a conversation would be great to add. Yes, it’s in the navigation, but this would put it into context near those quick links with a widget-specific CTA like the introduction bar offers or the Idea button on the Ideation page.

Also, this is rooted in my POV and preference that features with similar functionality offer similar features. Like topic types working similarly with replies, conversions, etc, or overview page offering similar widgets for customization … the Featured Topics and Quick Links widgets are variation on the theme of curated links, so I’d love to see both offer similar functionality.

That said, I get that they are indeed disparate widgets with different functions and use cases. :)
