Change cursor focus when adding links to highlighted text

Pretty much every time I go to use the 🔗 link button, I squash my link text when I paste the URL.

When you select text and click the link button, the cursor focus stays in the text box and doesn't move to the URL field. This happens in the control and front-end environments. Surely I'm not alone here...

It seems to work "properly" if you click the link button first, where it also prompts for the link text to be entered.

Hopefully this is an easy fix!
