Customers replying to themselves reveals issue

Customers replying to themselves (adding more info in a second post) means the topic is never flagged as needing a reply, so the customer may never get a reply from the community mods.

Can we update the filters so that topics with only posts from the OP aren’t flagged as having been “Replied to”?

Example of it going wrong for someone who needed help:

Hi @Corry P,

Thank you for submitting this idea!

I understand how an author replying to their own topic can mess up your moderation process.

Can you tell us a bit more about where and how you check for unanswered topics? Which filters/views do you use exactly?

Hi @janina.woita

My Needs a Reply filter is as shown:

The problem is that the Replies filter counts all additional posts on the thread as replies, whereas if it only counted posts from users other than the Original Poster, it would facilitate our ability to respond to anyone who has not received a reply from our community members, after the 8 hours specified by the other part of the filter.

This is using the newer version of the moderation overview.

Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to share this idea.

After review, we've decided not to move forward at this time, as this doesn't address a broad enough set of customer needs relative to other priorities we're focusing on. We appreciate you raising it and encourage you to keep sharing feedback as it helps us make more informed decisions.
