Customers want to copy data from Sandbox to Sandbox. Currently, we can only supporting copy data from Productions to Sandbox

CRM Salesforce configurations availability cannot be expected in prod instance until developments are pushed. We build NXT sandbox tenants based on biz process changes and test the new customization first using NXT Sandbox tenants.

For reasons like within SFDC Sandboxes refreshes are made, we have no option to have the NXT tenant moved to prod, but if we have ability to copy it into another sandbox will help us successful production x-org migrations.

@rajasekhar_parasu Could you help me with the use cases where the customer wants to move data from Sandboxes to Prod? We usually assume these are test data that would not be useful in Prod. Are there any examples of the kind of data that needs to be moved?

@narayanan_s Could you confirm my understanding here? There is only 1 sandbox available and all the test configurations have to be copied to Prod before the Salesforce sandbox is refreshed?

Thank you

Preethi

@narayanan_s we need your inputs.

@sai_ram @pgeorge , Similar to how we manage sandbox in production, if we are able to create the same copy from one sandbox NXT tenant to other non production tenant would be beneficial.

@narayanan_s If you have two sandboxes and you want to copy assets from 1 sandbox to another, you could use XOrg to move all the assets and configurations. We will soon have the capability to move data as a part of the migration. This is a part of our long term roadmap.

I hope this helps

Thank you
