That would be great if we update the existing records in the object if they update default value.

Currently, we do not modify existing values as it could disrupt the data that is already loaded to Gainsight.
After the default value is changed, only new records loaded or created from now will have the new default value.

So for the existing records, there is no impact but, for the new records if we are not providing the value to the field the Default value should load. Is that correct.

+1This would be very helpful. We frequently have to create one-off rules just to backfill new fields on existing objects.
