Hi,

We believe that the moderator group has excessive rights in the admin area. Why does the moderator group have access to Platform->Community? Only Community administrators should create/modify/delete categories and so on. We also suggest removing the ability for moderators to remove users. Usually moderators are external users and there is a risk that Community might be disrupted if the moderator's account is leaked. For example, Community sections are deleted or users are deleted.

P.S. Anticipating the question of what to do about spammers, I will start a new wish to add a Spammer button to the user's Profile. :sunglasses:

@stanislav.fedoseev FYI

Thanks.

Sorry.

It's not relevant (that's the problem with our customised group):

Why does the moderator group have access to Platform->Community? Only Community administrators should create/modify/delete categories and so on.

But about deleting users is relevant. Moderators can also change a user's password. Why?

Please edit my first post)))

Also we would like to propose that the user's email be hidden for the default moderator group (in the user profile).

Thanks for submitting your idea @Danila!

We’ve discussed your idea internally, and unfortunately these limitations are pretty specific to your use case. For the vast majority of our customers, moderators are internal colleagues that specifically support in these use cases, and thus need access to these tools. The “Moderator” role as such is not meant for external users, for all the reasons you mentioned, so we’ve decided to close this idea for now.

It sounds like your use case however is allowing super users to moderate content, without necessarily giving them access to the Control environment. If that’s the case, please add your support to this idea:
