Right now I only have the ability to search by Customer Name in the search field (top right corner) but in many, many cases we have multiple account numbers for the same customer.  We either need the ability to search by specific Account fields  OR when you search for a customer name, show  "Account Name: Account Number" so we can also see which account number is being selected.

Preferably the former.

We are planning to improve the search feature by allowing you to select 3 or 4 additional fields that you want to include while searching for a customer.  The results would also include the fields that you have configured.

We will first make this enhancement on C360.

We will keep you updated on ETA as we make progress.

Sidhu, when you say it will also include the fields that you have configured, does that mean if the customer has a field in their Customers tab it could be chosen and used as a search field on the C360? Angie's List is interested in that capability.

We have a unique identifier on the account that we would love to search by.

We will only be able to use fields of type text. So if the unique identifier on Account is a text field, then we will be able to use it.

If you configure the search to be based on Account Name and the unique identifier, then when you enter a unique id in the C360 search field, the search results will include Account Name and the Unique identifier.

Another important point to note is that initially we will only expose additional text fields from Account object. We will then continue to improve it in further releases.

That is great news.  Our Unique Identifier is a Text field on the Account object.
