Working with Ranks recently and since by default we do not log anyone out, the Login value cannot be used for Ranking. I would propose not to have a value that can’t be used in the Ranking system due to a system setting and change this to Pageviews. If a member comes in and gains knowledge through pageviews, it would be great if we can reward it and use it for ranking and badges.
We use logins but I would like to use Page views as well so you got my vote!
Makes a lot of sense, especially since the login might be remembered for a very long time, varying per community but also per device (eg. on iOS, it logs you out if you close the browser). What I’m curious about, is whether page views could also be something to award points for or use as a criterium for badges. Any thoughts?
I am converting pageviews to the point system to get a value of passive and active contributions to the community. Currently I am just *1 to page views. Using the page view counter per company on the engagement tab.

Interesting. Hmm.
Can I ask, do you calculate points manually (=using excel)? From where members can find their points?
Yep, manually.
I bring it all into a Google Sheet and there I go wild with pivot tables. :)

How do you “report” the situation for the users, or is it something that users doesn´t know their points (including page views)?
Users know their weekly and all time points through the leader board but we use it to understand how much value the individual user and client is getting from the community. To understand if they are not posting, at least they are learning and reading alot of content.

Makes sense and I totally understand why you are doing that. Thanks for the use case you opened for us.
