Hi Team,

I am posting behalf of a Customer. Customer recieves a report with attachment on daily basis, and would like to be able to have Gainsight consume this via the S3 connector. However, they want to achieve this without any manual intervention. Is it possible to somehow forward emails with attachments to the S3 and have it consume the attachment.

Hi @SKondreddy - once the data is ‘consumed’ by Gainsight, where do you want it to reside? One option might be to use Email to Timeline functionality where the email message and attachment are automatically added to timeline. https://support.gainsight.com/SFDC_Edition/Timeline/User_Guides/Log_Customer_Emails_as_Timeline_Activities

    Hi @dan_ahrens,

In the Email to Timeline the attachment will be linked to the company in which the email id is associated with the respective company person.

Customer want’s to save that attachment received from his source email address to the S3 bucket.

@SKondreddy  Would you like me to convert this post to an Idea (feature request) for better tracking?

    Hi @SKondreddy

Customers would have to leverage https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/projects/setup-email-receiving-pipeline/ from Amazon so that Amazon S3 can get files at a regular cadence from Email.
