Local storage - save text when being logged out automatically

Hi,

as we have an automatic logout because of our SSO, our users are logged out when they are inactive for more than 30 minutes. Unfortunately typing is no activity which is registered by the system which means that often users are logged off while they're writing on a longer post.

It would be great to save the text in the local storage (also when for example the internet connection is down) so that the users can get back to this state and don't loose everything they've typed.

I have been wanting to post this idea and was actually kind of surprised that it already existed but with zero votes. A few of our super-users have been asking for a auto-save feature and to me it just makes sense. @Esther Groth - you've got my vote!

Thank you again for sharing this idea. We have made the decision to park it for now because it didn’t gather a too many votes.
