Could we get a URL field or at least some backend intelligence that makes URLs in user profile fields act as hyperlinks?

Hi @Scott Baldwin, thanks for submitting the idea! Seems like a very useful improvement. We don’t have anything planned for this yet, so I’ll leave the idea open to gather votes.

Really hope this one collects votes and gets added to the road map.
I had previously submitted something similar that was closed for security risks. (Risks that I personally find silly since someone can hyperlink within any topic.)
So then I submitted this as step in the direction I’d like to go:
