As a newbie to the Insided I was wondering if there are any workarounds to add a new tab under the “Forum” Module. Looks like we can only add Categories, recent active and unanswered but wondering if there are any ideas on how to add a category that shows the most popular by likes.

Unfortunately, we don't have anything like this available, but it would be great to have this option to see the most popular topics - this is definitely a great idea.
I'm just curious what you mean by "most popular by likes"; do you mean the most likes in the entire topic or the first post from the topic's owner? Or do you mean the most popular categories?
Let me know if you can give some more details on your idea.

What I mean is that as I user, I would be able to filter topics (regardless of the category) with the most likes. An example below where you can filter by three criteria, being “top” the posts with the most reactions.
I see it now, thanks for sharing this. We actually have this filter on the “Recently active topics” page but it’s not possible to add it on the navigation tab as far as I’m aware.
I believe we could add this new page to the navigation tab. The image you sent looks really nice actually, I like how it looks. Which forum is this from? I’ve seen it in the past but I can’t remember it now.
