I actually came across this today within the inSpired community.

Was tagged in a reply post, clicked on the button in the email and saw the original post and comments but could not find where I was tagged or that specific reply. Then I noticed there was a second page, went to the second page, and all of the recent comments, including the one I was tagged in, were there.

This was the thread, for reference:

Does it make more sense to sort the replies by most recent first? Or, have the email button jump to the reply that they were tagged in? Shamefully, it took me maybe just a little bit too long to realize there was a second page of comments.

Thanks, @tiffany.oda, for this idea!

These are great questions! I’m interested to hear what others think of this.

@tiffany.oda in Control > Content you can select the post order so Newest appear first.

And on the front-end you can select to display Newest first as well:

I’d guess for some that conversational order makes the most sense which would be oldest to newest, else you’d lack the context. But other forums like Reddit to post from Newest to Oldest.

Would be cool if this was a configurable option in a community for sure.
