Sometimes Moderators would post an update and it falls off the grid for succeeding updates.

An automation rule to remind Moderator to engage back on Idea threads for all stages till the Idea state is changed to : Implemented/Not planned etc.

This is a scheduled auto notification and the period can be set by the Community manager to a frequency of Monthly/Quarterly etc

Great idea, @anirbandutta! I can immediately relate to this :sunglasses:

I’m curious to hear from you and other community managers if other content types could benefit from such a reminder. Thanks a lot!

@Cristina I could see this being helpful for questions which do not have a best answer or are still open. A system email which can be turned on/off for the period reminder if the person was tagged or in the conversation as @anirbandutta describes.

This idea is coming in very needed right now. We are working on our backlog of open ideas. Here are a few reminders/notifications I could see being very helpful, or specific use cases:

  • If we mark an idea as “tell us more” because we need additional information from the community member, set a reminder for x amount of time to follow up or close the idea.
  • If an idea is marked as “discussion ongoing” because we are doing internal discussion, set a reminder for the next release cycle to see if we decided to included in the next sprint.
  • If a product manager is not sure about something and needs to do some investigating, allow them to set a reminder to check in on the idea later.
  • If an idea that is marked as “planned” (which for our org means it’ll most likely get delivered in the next year), set a reminder to check in on the idea if the publish date reaches a year old and is still marked as “planned”

It would be helpful if:

  • We could set rules for automatic notifications based off of parameters we designate are useful for our product organization and how we conduct our ideas
  • We can set individual reminder notifications on an individual idea
