Evening!

This is just a simple one related to some security stuff I’ve been having fun with recently. And yes, inSided does know what that fun is. XD

It’s just a small thing, but I was thinking about it recently. Something that might be helpful, would be a link on the login page for Control that leads back to Community, just in case someone happens to randomly stumble across Control by mistake and doesn’t realise that they’re in the wrong place. Especially when a certain @JessPritch has a habit of accidentally grabbing the Control URL for threads rather than the Community URL for them when she’s replying to questions… :wink:

When combined with a recent Top Sekrit Security Fix (which is a Blastoise Speciale after all!), this should help to more or less resolve any potential confusion.

Hello @Blastoise186. Thanks you for the idea and explaining the use case. I have to say I'm not sure of the value this idea would deliver. Even if you log into Control, you can easily log back in the Community using this icon in the control menu. Curious to have your thoughts

 

Thanks! That may be true, but this is more intended to help cover cases where a user accidentally stumbles on the Control login page rather than the Community login page and isn’t meant to be touching Control. The existing link isn’t accessible if you’re not logged in. :)

While it’s unlikely that regular users would attempt to access Control by mistake very often, this is just something that I felt might help to handle them, such as with a link that says Are you looking for the actual Community? Click here!
