Hello there!

On our community we get a lot of answers on the questions asked, but the user who starts the question doesn’t always mark the question as solved - even if they view the answer, like it and sometimes even reply with a “thank you!”.

It would be great if the user who asked the question in the first place, would get a pop-up or something like that, when visiting their topic which has a reply that askes if the reply solved the question. I’m thinking something like this:

  1. User-1 starts a question:
    “How do you run?”
  2. User-2 replies with an answer on the question:
    “You use your legs”
  3. User-1 revisits the topic and gets a pop-up message in the middle of the screen:

@User-2 has left a reply to your question!

How do you run?
Reply: You use your legs

Did this reply answer your question?

Yes(mark as solved)
No

This was the very first thing that popped up in my head, there is maybe better solutions than a Pop-up for sure.

This would anyway make it easier to get users to mark their question as solved, so that we make sure that nothing gets missed 😊

Hi @JeppePeppe - thank you for submitting your idea, and explaining the use case :) - If I understand correctly, the benefit would be:

  • for the user:
    • to see if he has a reply to his question
    • to have a clear feedback if the reply answers his question (= marked as solved) or not
  • for the community manager: to be sure that replies are actually solving questions

Am I getting your use case right? Thank you!
