Possible to display dates in a different format in JO Emails?
Is it possible to display dates in different formats when used in email templates?
For example, we want to automatically send a renewal reminder to a customer when the renewal is due. When referring to their renewal date in the email template we want to display this in a more human friendly way. So a renewal date of 02-28-2021 would read February 28, 2021 or 28 February 2021.
Thanks for letting me know how to do that!

@GarethR Thanks for writing here! Yes, you can choose formatting when adding the token in email template. After adding token, click on the token, click edit and then change data type to date there will be a drop-down to select a format.
@sai_ram, thank you. for letting me know about this!
I just checked this out and noticed that the only date format that is not available is Month and Day. For example, if I want to display the date as “February 28”.
It’s more natural to say “Your renewal is due on February 28.” than “Your renewal is due on February 28, 2021.”
Would you consider adding this date format as an available option?
@GarethR sorry for the inconvenience. Changing this to an enhancement request and redirecting to our product team. Thanks!
Acknowledged. We will add more date format options in the future.
Thanks, @nitisha_rathi! When do you believe this will be added? Is it something you will add to the immediate roadmap for Q1/Q2 or do you anticipate this being further into the future?
@GarethR I don’t think we will be able to push this change in Q1/ Q2. Maybe in H2 2021.
