Remove Overlay of Article and Event Type Labels on Featured Image

When articles appear as a widget on the homepage/community pages, the article type label tends to overlay unfavourably on the featured images we choose: 

It appears beautifully once you click in, but on this widget window, I’d love to be able to have this label appear either above or below the article title. 

 

This also occurs with event types on the Events page:

    Thanks for sharing this idea @Melissa Meyer. The problem is quite clear - the label is visually clashing with the image (or the text in the image).

    I’d like to put this idea to ‘open’ and see if more people share the same idea. :)
