Save global dashboard filter settings

It would be very useful to be able to save the settings of global dashboard filters. For example, our users often deepdive into specific sets of customers by selecting the customer names in a global filter. This is a lot of work, so it would be handy to be able to save such a filter to re-use it in the future (similar to the available functionality in Gainsight PX).

    Interesting idea Jef,

If you have a customer name unlocked global filter, users can select which customer to filter by changing value in that one filter only right? Can you expand on this idea with a potential flow?

Technically, global filter in a dashboard contains reference field, field from each report its being mapped to and the default value. Do you expect to save the combination of all this when you want to save filters?

Also, in our horizon dashboards, we have massively simplified the admin effort around the global filters

    Hi Rakesh,

In the main use case, users want to combine multiple customers based on criteria that we do not have in Gainsight (e.g., all accounts from a specific business unit of one logo), so it boils down to selecting a set of user names with an 'includes' filter. If they want to use that same filter again later, they have to go through the whole selection process again.

    Kind regards,

    Jef

This can be accomplished with saved filters applied at the Global level
