Hi all,

When a user flags a post, they’re asked to provide a reason why they’re escalating it to the Community Team. This reason is useful as it allows a moderator to quickly hone in on the part of the post which needs attention.

However, the reason the user gave is only displayed in the email which is sent to those who are listed in the Moderation Notifications area of Control.

I’d like for:

  • The reason to be displayed in the Flagged section of control
  • To allow all flagged posts + the reasons why they were flagged to be exported via .csv for analysis

This would allow us to analyse the most common reasons why posts are reported in our communities, and ensure that the people who are doing the work of editing posts and managing user behaviour can easily reference the reason submitted by the user who flagged a post.

Hi @Onomatopoeia! Thank you for sharing this idea. The content flagging functionality needs revamping and this is great input for improvements.

I found this on a search for guides on the flag functionality, assuming that I was missing something obvious because I couldn’t see it in Control. I absolutely support this - even without the exportable data, just being able to see the flagged post in context and the justification for the flag on a single page would be a huge workflow benefit.

Hi @Onomatopoeia ! We are happy to announce that we delivered the new reported content feature that allow you to see the reason why the content has been reported. You can find the product update here and the How to guide here. This feature does not allow to export the reasons yet, we will keep it for later improvements.
