The experience can vary while working through the Failure Logs; whether it be for Rules, Connectors, or other items. A couple of notes would be to:

  • Always include the values. Often, GS provides the IDs but not the value. The administrators then need to find what value the ID is referring to. 
  • Always have Column Titles be Values. Sometimes, the spreadsheet’s column’s are titled with IDs. Sometimes these are IDs are in a format I don’t recognize. It would be great to know the Column refers to Status upon the first view. 
  • Always produce a Log. When our Connectors fail, we often don’t get a Log at all. This makes it impossible for us to troubleshoot and takes up time for GS Support to help us through challenges we usually could figure out ourselves with a log.
