Support date formats on Excel exports

When we export data from GS it exports every date fields as a string value.  If it comes through as a CSV and when you open of the CSV it will convert this value naturally to a date type field.  However if it comes through as an excel (Downloaded directly) it will keep these as a string value.  We would like the ability to respect the date format when downloaded as an excel document.
