As per -

the formats supported for attachment are jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp, pdf, doc, docx, txt, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, xlsm, csv, msg, eml, avi, flv, wmv, mov, mp4, wav, aiff, flac, alac, mp3, aac, wma, and ogg,

And, usually whenever we have file formats with Upper Case, like .PNG/.DOC/.DOCX etc, we receive error - “Invalid JSON! JSON processing failed”, stating not supported file.(From Logs - Error Info - “File name : Capital letters.PNG does not support file extension : PNG”)

From Customer Point of View - The file extensions are normally system generated and .DOC is the same as .doc. (Same with other attachments).

Until now, this concern was raised by two customers, It would be a better way, if we could also allow attachments irrespective of case sensitivity of file extensions (Upper case & Lower Case).

Thanks Isaac for raising this.

It is a bothering issue, as some applications save files with extension in upper cases (i.e. Windows snippet tool)

 

The workaround to rename the extension works fine, but it is not something that we can do every time.
