Clicking into a topic is one of the most frequent moderator/community manager tasks. 

Seeing total views over time is helpful context, but it inspires further questions about when those views happened. Especially as you build a knowledge base of articles, answered questions, etc. 

Use cases: 

  • Gauging effectiveness of content promotion tactics (inclusion in an email, featuring on the home page or custom page, etc)
  • Decisions to retire/archive and/or update content
  • Identifying trending content / discovering a spike in visibility and investigating further

The view metrics are there, they filter and show counts within time periods in the content dashboard. 

I’d love to see the timeline in front of me as a panel that could be shown/collapsed. 

Think of it like monitoring a customer’s timeline within other Gainsight CS. Seeing the timeline will help community managers monitor and better understand the lifecycle of the content they’re moderating.
