Hello fellow GS admins,

In an attempt to make CTAs and tasks a bit more suitable for a project management use case, we added a new custom field to the task object, called “Completed 0%”. This is a drop down field, and the user will manually select the value. The question is, is there a way to mark a task completed by selecting the “100%” value in the dropdown field? Is there a way to trigger something like that?

Thank you,

Tal

Hi @TalAmor you could create an automated rule to close any CTAs that had their completion % set to 100%. Here is some info on how to close CTAs via the Rules Engine: https://support.gainsight.com/Gainsight_NXT/04Cockpit_and_Playbooks/03Admin_Guides/Creating_and_Closing_CTAs_from_Rules_Engine#Closing_CTAs_from_Rules_Engine

Hi Dan,

Thank you so much for the response!

I am trying to close tasks, not CTAs, when the task has completed % set to 100%. This field is on the task page, so that is what we would like to close. Is that an option? I searched for that option and could only find it for CTA.

Thanks,

Tal

@TalAmor This is not possible at task level. We,  currently, don’t have plans to have rules at task level.
