Update thread while it's open

One of our super-users asked if it would be possible to have a feature on the platform that either would update new comments to the thread thats already open, or at least notify you about new comments on thread when submitting a comment that would allow you to check the comment(s) before publishing your reply. I would like this feature personally too, as it would lessen the amount of same info on the platform (e.g. someone posts a question and gets two or more comments with the same link and solution)
