We are glad to be in the team that is empowered to build an inSided community, together with all of you. Hereby we would like to introduce ourselves, and hope to read more about you too!
I am Denise and I'm part of the inSided family since 2010. Right now I am in the Marketing department, but before I was a Consultant for five years and got to work many great customers and their communities like NS, T-Mobile and Eneco. For me this community is a great opportunity to stay in touch with all of you. Within inSided I will be responsible for making this community succesful and making sure we're all aligned and involved in this community.
It was easy 🙂
Sure, let me adjust all of that tons of stuff in my community, and I'll be 100% yours 🙂
I'm Claire and I lead the Community team for Coursera - an online platform for courses from some of the world's best universities.
I'm originally from the UK but I now live in San Francisco and work out of the Mountain View Coursera office in Silicon Valley.
In my past life I've done a variety of things. I was a science teacher for a few years, had a handmade jewelry business for a few years and did some freelance blogging and recipe/food photography.
I created my first online community over 10 years ago (a WoW Guild) long before I knew it was a valid career path but I've been a professional Community Manager since 2013.
I've been working on community at Coursera for almost 3 years now. We currently have a few contributor communities but we think a site-wide community around the various subjects we offer courses in is going to be much more impactful in supporting our learners and our business.
We currently use a forums tool that was built in-house and is veeeeery limited so I'm really excited to get our communities switched over to inSided and start growing!
Also excited to meet you all and learn from you, hopefully I can help some of you in some way as well.
I'm knowledge manager actually, so I hear a lot on Coursera every conference or event 🙂 Too popular and too famous online trainings platform. Sometimes I also say during my own presentation "Everyone of you took some courses on coursera, I guess" 🙂 So, hope your community will grow rapidly. People need more courses 🙂
Haha, that's great to hear! 🙂 We're not so big that everyone has heard of us yet so it's always nice to come across people who have!
welcome to our community. 🙂
Excited about this project, I also have the feeling that a site-wide community will have a positive impact on the experience of your customers!
Hope you will find everything you need to know to get started with your community. If not, please let us know! We're always looking for inspiration for new, interesting content to publish here. 🙂
I'm Jihane and I'm the new community manager for Simyo (a telecom provider in the Netherlands). I've been working for Simyo for roughly two years. I was active as a social media agent, meaning that my efforts were divided between being a forum moderator and doing customer service via Twitter, Facebook, et cetera.
I'm 27 years old, live in Amsterdam and have just finished my MSc in Psychology. I'm incredibly excited to take on this new challenge. I've been looking around for a bit and can't wait to learn from all of you and get inspired by everyone.
I've always been a cheerful, politically-inclined idealist. My mental battery gets charged by socializing with warm people, but I also enjoy reading and watching movies. I'm always up for interesting conversations 🙂
Happy to be here!

I've been poking around, there are a lot of great resources here - very helpful! Will definitely ask if I don't see something though.

Good to see you here, Jihane!
My own background mostly consists of various software engineering roles at financial companies in London.
After growing weary due to 12 years in London I decided to make the switch and come to the Netherlands (swapping a 2 hour commute for a 15 minute bike ride was a no brainer!) I'll be combining my business and technical mindset to help answer any questions or resolve any issues that you may have.
Looking forward to speaking with you all!
Tom
My name is Laura, I've just joined Coursera in the San Francisco Bay Area as a Community Manager. I'll be working with
Prior to this I was Facebook Content and Community Manager for Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand. I'm American but I lived in Luxembourg as a child, where I attended an international school. I love that online communities can foster rich intercultural dialogue.
I have a Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis on leadership for organizational and community practice. I also have Bachelor of Arts degrees in creative writing and French.
My professional background includes writing/editing/proofreading, international education, educational travel, and social-behavioral health research. I'm also passionate about – and committed to – social and ecological justice.
Communities, at their best, are drivers of major positive social and personal change. I try to keep this big picture vision in mind as I work through the day-to-day elements of community engagement.
I'm glad to be here, and I look forward to learning from you all!
Passionate about the Entertainment industry and social media, I'm very excited to join this community to learn more about the platform and its features.
I'm Suvi, I'm the new Community Manager for Elisa Finland (a telecom provider in Finland and in Estonia). I've been working at Elisa since 2007 in various different roles, the last few years I've been partof our Online Services for B2C customers. Our team is responsible for our support site, self-service , webshop, community etc.
As a Community Manager I run our Community, OmaYhteisö and our customer service in the social media channels.
I am soon 34 years old, live in Helsinki, Finland with my husband and 3 kids, aged 4 and 2 (yes, twins!) so for me, being at work is like a vacation 😉
Marko here, moderator and customer service representative for Elisa Finland I've been hanging in our OmaYhteisö (formerly Palsta) as a moderator for a bit over one and half years now and I've also been doing customer service in our social media channels while doing that. Before that I've been doing normal CC so that I've now been for five years in Elisa.
I've been a huge tech geek pretty much my whole life (33 years now) so social media and forums come quite naturally When I'm not tinkering with PC's and electronic, I like to spend time with my family (wife and two year old son), listen and play music and ofc I'm a gamer too
By the way, gotta say it's nice to be on this side of the platform also Usually I'm looking only the moderation side of the platform and rarely checking on the public side to see how it seems to our customers
What a shame... I never properly introduced myself in this topic!
I'm Amy (Mareli is my second name it's Maria & Elisabeth combined.. yes my grannies) and I work for Bind Community Consultancy. I'm currently working for Huawei Community UK as a community manager/moderator. I previously worked at the T-Mobile Community so I know my way around the Insided platform.
A bit about me: I live in Arnhem, 27y/o, I love working out, watching movies and listening to music (My ultimate chill- spotifylist)
My name is Pieter Veen. I'm a community consultant based in the Netherlands, Utrecht. At the moment I'm busy with the go live of a community platform for a travel agency. We're using the InSided platform for this! I'm here te learn as much about the inSided platform as possible and to learn from my mistakes in order to turn them into my best practices. I'm looking forward to hear your input on my questions and I hope I can contribute to some of you as well.
Cheers!
Pieter

Hey Insided Fam ,
I’m Ben, the new Customer Education Manager here at Bizzabo, a B2B SaaS platform in the event management space. My first big task in this newly formed function is to implement Insided into our tech stack, and roll it out to our growing customer base.
Super excited to be here, chat soon!

It’s nice to here. Have a wonderul week everyone
Hi all, Frederik here I joined the inSided marketing team this month and an important reason for that decision was this amazing platform. I strongly believe customer communities are essential in B2B SaaS.
I’m originally from Belgium and have worked for several companies in Amsterdam (TravelBird &TB Auctions) and London (Showpad & Catapult.com).
Happy to be part of this community! Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Hi everyone!
I’m Liz, a Community Advocate over at Typeform. We just launched our Community this week, and we’re really loving using InSided! Excited to learn more about everyone’s communities and how you’re connecting with your customers. :)
Hey Insided community!
I’m the new Community Manager for Looker / broader GCP. Looking forward to learning with/from you all.
Oh no! A wild Blastoise appeared!
Howdy! After watching over this place in stealth mode for a few months, I’ve finally decided to take the plunge and reveal myself.
Unlike most, I’m actually not technically an inSided customer myself, but a Super User forum volunteer of the OVO Community where I’m well known to
Tim doesn’t know that I’ve sneaked in here through the back door, but I found the key anyway and let myself in through the front door instead.
Oh no! A wild Blastoise appeared!
There’s lots of cool stuff here to help community members and admins alike, in building their own communities. Just don’t beat me on the Inspired leaderboard please….
