Dear Community,

We are glad to be in the team that is empowered to build an inSided community, together with all of you. Hereby we would like to introduce ourselves, and hope to read more about you too!

I am Denise and I'm part of the inSided family since 2010. Right now I am in the Marketing department, but before I was a Consultant for five years and got to work many great customers and their communities like NS, T-Mobile and Eneco. For me this community is a great opportunity to stay in touch with all of you. Within inSided I will be responsible for making this community succesful and making sure we're all aligned and involved in this community.

Hehehe. I’m not used to it either!

The other thing that will almost certainly catch me out, is having to remember that I can’t bypass the one-hour edit timer limits over here… Given how useful the ability to bypass that limit is, it’s a hard habit to break and easy to forget about.

I’m likely to have a few ideas and a lot more bugs to share over time though. So it’s probably a good time to make that easier.

Hi everyone,

I’m Scott and I’m leading our community project at Productboard. I’m a long-time product manager and currently work with our Sales, Success, Marketing, and Product teams supporting our customers helping them organizationally and strategically with Productboard.

We excited to see what we can learn and do with inSided and are looking forward to building our new customer community and getting off Slack. :hand_splayed:

Welcome to inSpired @Scott Baldwin ! :hugging:

It’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Blastoise186, a Super User volunteer at my home base and a sort of volunteer helper over here. I’m only a user myself and don’t have moderator rights anywhere, but I’m always happy to provide my own advice based on a user perspective.

We’ll definitely be happy to give you some tips and tricks that can help you learn the ropes. The inSpired Community is an instance of the platform like all the others and it’s got more or less all the built-in features turned on, plus a few others (or at least that’s what I’m told!). Feel free to ask as many questions as you fancy and we’ll do our best to help out.

As another tip, quite a few members here have links to the communities we’re part of in our profiles. Please do feel free to check those out as well, since it might provide some inspiration. Several inSided employees also actively watch over this community, so you’ll no doubt see them very soon as well.

Just watch out for @Julian though! He’s very competitive and doesn’t like to allow anyone to take his spot on the leaderboard!

Welcome to inSpired, @Scott Baldwin! Happy to see you here. We’ve got quite a number of years in Community Management combined in this place, so you surely found the right spot to prepare for a successful launch of your new community! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to share them with us.

...and to @Blastoise186: we’ve installed the employee leaderboard for the very reason that I can keep my feud with @daniel.boon within healthy boundaries. ;)

👋  Hi everyone!

I’ve been lurking in this community for a few months now and have asked a question here and there, but figured it’s as good a time as any to introduce myself.

I’m Adam Ballhaussen, Director of Customer Education at Docebo. We’ll be launching our community to a group of ~120 early adopter customers next Tuesday (April 20th). We are stoked to be a part of the inSided fam and can’t wait to start bringing customers into our community! I look forward to interacting with you all more closely and learning from everyone here.

Don’t be a stranger!

– Adam

Welcome @adam.ballhaussen !

I’m Blastoise186. While I live in the UK which means I’m in a completely different time zone, I do tend to check this community in the evenings as well, meaning I’ll probably catch some of your threads faster.

Definitely let us know if you need any help with anything. If you can also pop the URL of your community into your profile if it ever goes public, it’ll make it easier in case you ever need a hand. :)

Thanks for the welcome @Blastoise186! It’s nice to e-meet you. I’ll be sure to share with this community when we go public. It’s coming up soon! May 17th is the scheduled date at the moment.

Nice! Glad to meet you too.

I’m actually not an inSided customer myself (I’m just a user!), but I have Super User rights at my home base which is listed in my profile and I also like to help out here as a volunteer. I’ve been learning a lot myself, so I’m rapidly picking up on most things even without access to Control. Hopefully you should have Customer rights over here by now, but if that broke somehow, Julian can fix that for you. As long as you can access https://community.insided.com/ideas you should be good to go.

If there’s one big tip that I can definitely give you as well, it’s definitely this. Always listen to your community and make sure not to make yourself look purely like some guy with the banhammer who only ever steps in to ban spammers (that’s a bad image to present!). Getting involved with the community and staying integrated helps a lot, especially when you get to know your members. And trust me, you’ll definitely get to know a few of the regulars!

Hi everyone! :hand_splayed:

Thought it was about time I introduce myself here - I am the new Customer Support Engineer here at inSided (in my 3rd week now - time has really flown). I will be the one handling any questions or issues you might be facing, alongside Tom as well of course.

A little bit about me - I am from the UK but have been based in Amsterdam for about 2 years now. I have a background in psychology, product and web development. In my free time, I enjoy going to gigs, running and helping around on the family farm.

I can’t wait to work with you all and support you in making amazing communities.

Heya @olimarrio or is it @olimarrio ? You seemed to have mastered the art of cloning yourself!

XD

As you’ve probably heard, I’m a bit of a rebel around these parts and I can’t promise that you won’t fall subject to one of my pranks sooner or later… Hehehe. Some say that the only person able to keep this SkyNet Blastoise under control is @timcavey , and that even the legendary @Julian doesn’t know my true power. All we know is, I’m also called Blaster. :P

Very nice to meet you, @olimarrio and @olimarrio

Hope your first few weeks are going well over there. Myself and @Blastoise186 are from the OVO B2C community. Am I right in thinking this is the role being handed over in some form from the mighty skilled @tom.shaddock ?

Haha the more the merrier!

Pleasure to e-meet you both @Blastoise186 & @timcavey

@tom.shaddock will be moving to a new team but he will still be helping out on the support desk when he can, especially whilst I catch up with his mighty skills. I’m sure the student will become the master in no time though

@olimarrio thanks for the intro. Glad you’re already helping out with things. I’d personally keep the double profile and see if you can use it to get @Blastoise186 and @Julian off the leaderboard :grinning:

Not gonna happen boss!

I don’t have the inSider role for starters and therefore it’s impossible for me to be on the Employee Leaderboard. And on top of that, the main Leaderboard hides anyone who’s got the inSider role. Hehehe!

I will be watching for any abuse of the system as well you know… My own custom role makes sure I don’t appear on both leaderboards too.

Hi! My name is Erin and I just started my new role as Community Manager at Docebo. I’m really excited to learn more about InSided from all of you. Any tips for a newbie are welcomed

A little bit more about me: I live in Ottawa, ON Canada, have 3 daughters and absolutely love the show FRIENDS!

Howdy @erin.brisson ! Welcome to inSpired. :)

As you’ve probably noticed, I’m Blastoise186, a sort of forum volunteer who helps out here and a Super User volunteer who helps out on the OVO Forum. When I’m over there though, I mainly make sure that a certain @timcavey doesn’t blow the place to pieces. But over here… I cheer on the never ending points and leaderboard battles between the inSided employees.

No doubt you can guess my favourite shows.

There’s actually a huge wealth of tips and advice that you can get from inSpired. Most of the members here are verified inSided customers and this community is primarily made up of Community Managers, Moderators and Administrators as well as many inSided employees. There is also the odd user such as myself too. Full service here you know!

But if there’s one really good tip I can offer you right now, it would have to be this. Feel free to explore all of our respective communities and see what you can learn - as well as checking out inSpired right here. Our profiles may have links to them or in some cases you can pick up on other clues like usernames to find them. Exploring them all may well give you some inspiration too.

We’ll be here of course if you ever need anything. If you ask a question, there’s a pretty good chance of getting a response within 24 hours. :sunglasses:

Hello community members! I’m Jenny, and I run my own community strategy consulting practice, Jenny.Community, based in Los Angeles. I had a demo of the Insided platform last week and was uber-impressed with it! I’m here to listen, ask questions on behalf of my clients, and contribute to strategy-related conversations. Glad to be a part of this! ~Jenny

Welcome to inSpired @jennyweigle !

The name’s Blastoise186. I’m somewhat unique in terms of the members on the inSpired Community. I’m not actually an inSided customer myself as such, nor a moderator anywhere. I’m actually just a user, albeit a very, very knowledgeable one. And yes, I find inSided to be absolutely amazing.

I mainly help out on the OVO Forum, but I also actively patrol this one as well whenever I can. Chances are if you ask any questions on here, you’ll get an answer from either me or someone I know fairly quickly. We can definitely answer questions on behalf of your clients as well and we don’t mind if you’d rather not reveal who they are. If you are a verified customer (or become one down the road), you should get a Custom Role automatically that will grant you access to some extra private areas on here. If you don’t get it for some reason though, feel free to let @Jeanie Lee know and she’ll take a look.

Hope to see you around!

Hi everyone!

I’m Michael, Community Manager at Brandwatch. We’ve just kicked off our migration to InSided and ridiculously excited to get going :)

I’ve been in community for 12 years, spent some time at PlayStation, Team17 and in B2B at various companies. Now I'm building a place for data analysts and insights professionals to thrive together.

Thanks for having me - look forward to chatting!

Hi all,

I am working as a Community Manager here in Finland almost 7 years by now. We dont use Insided at the moment, maybe in the future. Nice to meet you all 🙂

Nice to meet you all 🙂

And same time this is brief UX test with mobile 🤓

Hi there!

My name is Michelle Fifis, and I'm the new Community Specialist at Productboard. We're using inSided for our community platform, and I'm excited to be here to learn more about the program!

Before joining Productboard, I ran online communities for Pattern Observer and the Textile Design Lab.

I look forward to connecting with the community here at inSided!

Hello InSpired,

Maybe a little late to introduce myself as you’re likely to have come across something I’ve posted before this, nevertheless here goes:

My name is Greg Fournier, I’m french but most likely you wouldn’t be able to tell from my accent, I’m based in Singapore and currently still setting up the Smartly.io community. (Smartly.io being a creative and performance automation tool for large advertisers).

This is my first community, and hence InSided is my first community platform, so I’m leveraging InSpired to get inspired, and to attempt to shape the future of the platform to our needs, at Smartly.io and I’m sure many more companies.

CSS and Javascript enthusiast, I’ve been doing quite a few customisations, and role/ rank/ other based conditional content to ensure we show the most relevant messages at the most relevant times to our customers/ members/ visitors, no matter how experienced.

See you out there!

I think it’s about time I introduced myself here :)

My name is Bas van Leeuwen, born and raised in Amsterdam.

After about a decade in the Developer Community space, I joined inSided in November as Technical CSM.
