When I joined Gainsight nearly 3 years ago, we were just over 8,000 strong. Watching this family grow has been nothing short of heartwarming. 💜

⚡️Rewind & Refresh

 

We’ve had a busy last 6 months in this community with new projects and changes focused on improving member experience. Here are a few of them:

  • Customer-Led Learning: We’re shifting gears to focus on what truly drives this community—your expertise. Our goal? To amplify peer-to-peer learning and create more space for members to share, support, and grow together.That’s why we’ve launched a brand-new category: 🗂️Share insights & best practices’. Not to brag, but it’s been 🔥 non-stop learning in there! We also want to give a huge shoutout to the incredible members who’ve been consistently contributing—whether from day one or just recently joining the wave. Your shared wisdom is what makes this space thrive.

  • Gamification Revamp: We’ve given our ranks system a full makeover—not just for style, but to make it more meaningful and reflective of the incredible contributions you make here. You can read more about it here: 

     

  • Best Practices Hub:Over the past year we have built a hub full of essential best practices to help you adopt and get value out of Gainsight CS. If you haven’t visited yet, we highly recommend that you take a look: https://communities.gainsight.com/best-practices-hub-226
  • Little tweaks, Better Experience: We’re always making tweaks and tucks to the experience on this platform.  Recently we’ve retired some inactive community categories, optimised the homepage widgets and added the awesome idea pipeline widget to our Ideas page.

 

⚡️Clean-up of old Ideas

 

As we announced in this topic, we recently started some important maintenance and engineering work around our idea topics.  With a total of +12,000 ideas going back to 2015, some clean-up was very much called for.  To improve search and findability for our members, and to make it easier for our Product team to close the feedback loop, we have started archiving older ideas that didn’t get traction in terms of votes. 

Nothing is lost or deleted in this process - you can find all of our archived ideas in this category (which isn’t searchable or indexed by Google).  If you think that we archived something that we shouldn’t have, just let us know and we’ll take a look (community@gainsight.com).

 


 

⚡️Member Spotlight

 

Every thriving community has its cornerstones—and we’re lucky to have some incredible members holding it all together.  This month, we’re shining the spotlight on 2 amazing Gainsight champions who consistently show up, share, and support.

 

⭐️ Tero ​@revote 

 

What project or topic are you geeking out over right now?

I am currently working on a concept aimed at renewing our community’s gamification to enhance engagement among the most active and trusted members. The goal is to create continuity and recognition in a natural and rewarding way. I’m really excited about this project, as it opens up new ways to gather valuable insights from members and bring them closer to our company through meaningful interactions that are valuable for both sides.

 

What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?

In my free time, I do something quite similar to the concept I’m currently developing for our company’s community. I’m an active member of a car enthusiast community, where I proposed the idea of connecting members with car manufacturers and importers for customer panels—to offer something special for our active members and to share insights with the manufacturers and importers. I also volunteered to help organize these panels. It’s about bringing people together to exchange perspectives—just like in my day job, but this time I’m a member myself, not an admin. 😊 Yeah, communities are my thing, 24/7/365.

 

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Gainsight community?

I really appreciate how the Gainsight community brings people together around shared challenges and ideas. It’s not just about finding answers—it’s about building relationships and learning from others who genuinely care about community building and customer experience.

What project or topic are you geeking out over right now?

Definitely AI. Trying out some vibe coding myself on a CS project and also on a pet project. It is exciting

 

What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I love solving Jigsaw and Lego puzzles

 

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Gainsight community?

It is good to be amongst others who are as passionate about the product as much as you are. The feedback and the ideas are great. Feels really bad to not be able to prioritise it
