On the Recently active topics page and the Active since last visit page there used to be a “show more” button at the end of the activity streams to load more topics when you have reached the bottom of the list. It looks like the button is gone now. Our power users are often using these streams and are now complaining that they can only see the newest 25 topics which (because our community is quite an active one) means they can only see what happened in the past 30 to 60 minutes.

Did inSided change anything here?

Edit 02.03. 12.20h:
I have to correct myself. Apparently on these pages there wasn’t a “show more” button, but a pager (like on the Unanswered questions page), which is now missing.

Hello @bjoern_schulze, thanks for spotting that. You are right, we changed a few things to those pages. We refactored those pages in order to show ideas and Product updates there. We need to add a way to display more than 25 topics to those pages with a show more. We plan to follow up on that very quickly. I'll keep you posted once it is done :)

Hey @Marion Frecaut, thanks for the quick response. Is there progress in this? And can you tell us how long it will take?
Our superusers cannot help all the customers at the moment. Bc the topics they're following are not visible :see_no_evil:

Thanks in advance!

Hello @Nadia2 thanks for your message and letting it know this is an issue for your super users. I raised the priority and our engineering team will fix this problem as soon as possible. I'll keep you informed .

Thanks for raising the prio on this. For our community, and others I guess, is this a serious issue. Hopefully you will be able to fix it soon :)

Dear @Marion Frecaut, this issue is till not fixed and getting even worse.

Can you please tell us how long this will take?

Below the post of one of our superusers:
Day 3 for the problem with the forum regarding the lost favorites, so that you no longer receive email notifications of new messages on topics you followed.

Hello @Nadia2 , I'm sorry that this is a great inconvenience. The team is working hard at it right now, we are making everything possible to fix this as soon as possible.

About the screenshot you share, the number of subscriptions is not displayed but users are still subscribed to topics and receive notifications. It is simply a display bug, that we will fix the show more button that is the most urgent to fix.

Some of the superusers say, they don't know for sure if they're missing notifications. This because they don't exactly know which topics they're following. Most of our superusers are highly productive and have 100 topics or even more(!) where they're involved with, in order to help our customers.

But one superuser explicitly states that he's misses e-mail notification of some boards / topics. Can you please investigate further, so that you're absolutely positive that's no notification get's lost. This affects our kpi's badly. Maybe it's even an other issue that you should raise intern.

Hello @Nadia2 , I'm sorry that this is a great inconvenience. The team is working hard at it right now, we are making everything possible to fix this as soon as possible.

I know I seem a little pushy now, but I still can't tell my community whether this issue will be resolved today or after the weekend. Can you be a little more precise?

@Nadia2 about the subscription issue you are suspecting, could you create a support ticket with more information like the concerned topics so we can investigate further? We have no indication on our side that there is an issue with subscriptions. Thank you for your help on this.

About the pagination, we are on the last touches to fix this. I can't say for sure when it will be fixed but there is a high chance that it will be fixed by Monday. In the meantime, we rolled back changes on your community to lift the pain point for you and your super users.

Have a good weekend :)

Hello, @Marion Frecaut. The roll back was already a big relief for our community. I will send a support ticket for the subscription issue.

Thanks for the effort. I hope you can quickly find a solutions for the 'show more' button issue. Good luck! I will follow this topic for any updates.

Hello, @Nadia2 @bjoern_schulze I wanted to let you know the issue is now fixed! Thank you for your understanding on this :)

Hello, @Marion Frecaut. We are very glad that users have the full view over their (favorite) topics and that all topics above 25 are visible again. Thanks for getting this part fixed :relaxed:

Nevertheless, I would like to point out that not everything does function completely flawlessly.

  1. Sort function does not work properly

From a user experience point of view: The order of topics is not conveniently sorted. The sort order is based on the ‘creation time’ of the topic rather than the time of the last reply. Long-term topics are therefore at the back despite a very recently posted comment.

Our users indicate that this does not work effectively. See print screen below: sort based on “Recently active”. This also applies to other personal user pages such as Favorites.

  1. Display bug

Not a huge problem, but still: the display bug. The number of Favorites are not shown.

I hope you can get back to this soon. Thanks in advance!

Some of out supersusers are saying today that it’s still not fixed for them.

I’ve updated a service ticket with Tom

@Marion Frecaut I can confirm what @m4rc says. The favorites still don’t show all favorited topics. The missing number in the dropdown is no big deal but a lot of our power users rely on the favorites to keep track of the topics they are involved in. And currently they miss a lot of activity.

Hello, @m4rc and @bjoern_schulze thanks a lot for flagging this. Could you create a support ticket about the subscription issue with as much information as you can so we can investigate this further?

To note showing the number of subscriptions in the profile dropdown is identified and will be fixed in the coming days

Thanks a lot for your help on this

Hey @Marion Frecaut already done - it’s ticket 20553 :relaxed:

Hello, @Marion Frecaut. I hope that the issue for the other communities is fixed.

Last week I asked another question here that you haven't come back to yet;

The majority of our superusers use the ‘favorites’ to keep track of the topics which they help others. Since this issue they miss a lot of new posts! Can you raise this problem?

Our superusers are suggesting that the order should be as follows:

Unread topics, then Last activity/replies and finally by Creation date.

Is that the plan going forward @Marion Frecaut ? To be honest I can’t remember how it was before it went buggy.

Hi @Nadia2  so i’ve created a ticket regarding the first point - ticket number: 20685.

The second point is a known issue and is currently in the process of being resolved, so keep an eye out for when that drops (hopefully this week) :grinning:

It was purely based on last activity. I wouldn’t recommend having an “unread topics” status in this list (maybe as an added manual filter though), because the list would quickly be populated by unread topics that users didn’t bother to open.

Hello @m4rc and @bjoern_schulze indeed the default ordering on the "My topics page" and "My subscriptions" was based on last activity and the plan is to keep it that way

Hi @Nadia2 @bjoern_schulze @m4rc - hate to dig up an old topic, but I’d like to get your feedback on a new discovery we’re made here. The team responsible has found accuracy issues with the number that we show for subscriptions in the menu (pictured below for clarity). In particular, this number can  differ from the number shown on the actual subscriptions page once you click through. This is not always the case, but is caused by issues like the user no longer having access to the topic, or the topic being trashed.

We plan to remove the count in the menu next to ‘Subscriptions’ because of this inconsistency, until we can solve the underlying issue, which we believe is complex to solve and needs quite some investment.

I want to get your thoughts on: how you feel about this change, and how much notice you’d like (if any) before we remove the count. I understand it’s frustrating to have this feature taken away (again!!!), but we think it’s important that it shows an accurate/consistent number with the subscriptions page.

Thanks @daniel.boon for sharing this issue with us, I appreciate that. So far the biggest concern was not the number of 'subscriptions' (favorites) but the sort function. In particular the heavy users who are subscribed to hundreds some even thousands of subscriptions. They have to visit every page to keep track of the current activity in which they are involved. That takes a lot of effort, frustration and in the end a lack of engagement.
If the order: most recent activity remains visible on the first page(s), I don't foresee any problems. I will explain this to our super users, and also ask how they feel about it and if they see any trouble.

Thanks @Nadia2 for reaching out to your super users and for your understanding. The sorting will indeed remain as it is (most recently active first) → this change would only be around hiding the number on the menu.

Thanks for the heads-up @daniel.boon

Our users are worried that any change/fix to the number will mess the ordering again. I appreciate that you’ll probably go ahead and do it anyway, but I’m passing on their concerns.

Like @Nadia2 said the most important thing is that this function works, as superusers rely on it!
